Today IFP focuses on international co-productions in high-end auteur-driven cinema, premium series and documentaries of socially significant context.

Among other studio festival awards and nominations: Official Georgian selection to the Academy Awards 2008, Best Foreign Language Film and Special Jury Prize at MIFF 2008, Tiger Award at Rotterdam IFF 2010, nominations at Locarno FF 2011 and Cannes Un Certain Regard 2011.

Independent Film Project is engaged in numerous cultural initiatives that reflect our commitment to increase public knowledge and understanding of Georgian arts and culture.

Also IFP is on the Board of Trustees of Georgian Theater and Film museum.

Sergey Yahontov

Sergei is a film producer, partner at Independent Film Project. His main professional focus is on auteur-driven cinema and documentaries of socially significant context. The projects he produced were shown at IDFA, Venice, Rotterdam, TATE Modern among others. Sergei also worked as production manager on US studio projects such as: “Jack Ryan. Shadow recruit”, “Fast and furious”, “Anna Karenina” and more.

Archil Gelovani

Archil Gelovani is a film Producer, founder of "Independent Film Project". Archil produced award-winning Georgian and international co-productions that were shown at Cannes, Rotterdam, Edinburgh among others. Archil is a member of the European Film Academy.
